The one and only Heather Givans of Crimson Tate will be speaking at our guild on Wednesday, September 12. She is a self-described artist, designer, maker and seeker of fun and happiness. A Purdue University graduate, with a degree in Art History, Heather set off to create non-traditional patterned quilts with contemporary and vintage repurposed fabrics creating a modern twist. She ended up with a good design coupled with an attention to detail and craftsmanship. Did we mention her great sense of humor? This is a speaker you won’t want to miss. Heather will also be selling her wildly popular fabric (Windham Fabrics) before and after her talk. Rivertown Quilt members are free and everyone else is just $10. Tell your friends, please pass the word, or even shout it from your rooftop! Doors open at 6:30.
